Second part of Seward Journey - 3 rd July

After we came back from Portage Glacier , we had to head backwords till the point we took a left turn.
Our second stop would be the Seward Down Town and also the Exit Glacier which is the most closest Galciers which you can see by walking through a trail.

So , we had to leave the beautiful memories behind. The view, the landscape ...today when I close my eyes and think about Alaska , I remember the Seward Highway and walking up to the huge mountains with my iTunes song being played and most commonly Ashiqui 2 - Tum Hi Ho....abh zindegi bas tum hi hooo.....
But It was just the begining part of our journey and I was looking forward for next part....

We came to the main land and there were many people and some activity must be planned....yes it was a marathon to the top of the mount Marathon and we could see little people like a board pin red and yello coloured.
We thought of visiting the Seward Museum. And yes, it had almost every animal creatures.
For places like Alaska , having a polular museum was a big deal. But for me since I already seen Chicago Shedd Aquarium and Georgia Aquarium , I would give 5 out of 10 to this one.
I saw a big 90 kg Seal which was really uncommon.

We had lunch at a local place and had halibut which is densly available in Alaska itself ,Homer being its official capital of Halibut.

We headed for the Exit Glacier - its supposed to be the closest glaciers which you can view by trailing.

We met this young Indian couple , they were nice.
It was a long trail and we all were slowly approching towards the glacier.
Its so weard to see from that close , the colour was while, blue and also black because of dirt.
But you cant walk on it, it had huge breaks along it...
In the end we figured we had no place to stay that day , and we hadnt booked any room.
Atish made many calls and finally we got a room in Seward lodge. Its suppose to be most expensive stays in our entire journey.
That day to my surprise I could see that it was not getting dark at all.
In the night we had to find food for dinner, and ended up eating thai from a to go bus.
Suddenly I realized someone talking in Bengali and I turned. It was sheer coincedence , in this part of the world if you see a bong. we talked for few mins and then we headed our hotel where we had dinner and slept off..

The first morning in Alaska

So the next morning we wake up.
I switched on the hotel TV and they were displaying some travel programs from Alaska itself.
Nice landscapes and breathtaking views.
Never knewing that my destination for today is the same Seward Highway.

So we started from the local roads of Anchorage, slowly we reached the main high way which leads to Seward High way.
There were train tracks beside our car roads, which means by all means you can take a train ride and just watch the amaising view.
Our destination was first Portage Glacier and later we will rest the night in Seward.

So , we kept on driving not knowing when we already reached the sea of mountains in front of us and I was totally engrossed into the view.
I have never in my life time had seen such a speechless view. I had no words to say.
My Ashiqui 2 movie songs kept on playing on our Toyota Corolla..and I kept looking and looking at the huge mountains in front of me.
I took as many videos as I could take in my iPhone and as many similar pics possible in my DLSR camera.
Not to mention , insisting my husband to stop the car in many places to take as many close up shots as possible. I bought a tripod just before leaving for Alaska. So with that I could take as many pics of mine and not bothering my husband for it and complaining that I was not happy with his pic.

We finally reached Portage Glacier

We reached right on time when a cuise was about to set off.
I quickly purchased the tickets and set off to view the glacier.
It was a 4 hour cruise. There were a lot of people previously occupiying all window seats, but ours wasnt bad, though we had to go out of the deck to view the glacier closer.

Yes it was magnificant , I cant express myself, drop dead gorgeous.
It was cold but I just couldnt leave that and sit inside , I was out almost all the time witnessing the view.
I have taken as many views possible and so many pics, so I dont leave out any memory.
Also, my husband probably filled his iPhone totally.
It was beautiful.
